What will the 2019 fall and winter wedding season bring as far as fashion and decor? Of course, we don’t know yet, but we see tons of guesses trending online. Everything from stained glass windows to water features.
What we can tell you is what we predict from a fabric standpoint based on orders and inquiries we are already receiving from event designers and wedding production companies!
It’s no secret that most couples want a unique experience. Everything from the venue, table settings, entertainment, and ambiance of the event! On our side, we are seeing tons of emails and questions about more Velour fabrics, like our Velvet Crush.
More specifically, we are seeing a trend of darker fabrics. It’s a different call then the usual requests for white, since summer tends to trend on the light and airy side.
Of course, we still believe we will be shipping out tons of Harmony Fabric, one of our most popular and versatile fabrics! Why? Because we are seeing more and more requests for fabric blending or mixing to give a different ambience to the space!
We are also getting requests for more fabric because of “special sections” being set up at the event that need fabric backdrops, such as photo booths and area behind the wedding cake! So watch out for these amazing backdrops this fall!
So that’s our prediction for fall and winter weddings! Lots of velour and effect fabrics, things people want to touch, like soft romantic velvets. A darker color scheme than we’ve not normally seen in the past, and smaller backdrop spaces at the reception for photo opportunities.
